Navigating the World Wide Web
Based on their experiences tutoring first-time computer users, Jennifer Hamada, Nancy Ko, Monica Li, and Cindy Lum developed a web site that provides beginners with detailed information on how to negotiate the web in order to get the information or services they want. Jennifer offers An Intro to the Internet for Beginners, Nancy shows new users How to Get On-line, Jennifer introduces web browsers and search engines, Monica helps them learn how to use search engines with Destinations on the Web: Searching Paths, and Cindy gives in-depth examples of Health Resources on the Internet.

 Resources for Citizenship and Employment
In our focus-group studies of the community at Kuhio Park Terrace, we learned that many residents are interested in preparing for the US citizenship application process. Another important need community members identified was for information regarding job-seeking and interviewing. Curtis Agor, Ron Cordero, Harry Ramos, and Rod Salazar produced a site that integrates information regarding the naturalization process with resources on preparing resumes and job applications, succeeding in interviews, and retaining a position.

 Introduction to HTML
Concerned that many of the available introductions to Hypertext Markup Language might be intimidating to some users, Pamela Kam and Billy Lim created an engaging, thorough, and easy-to-use HTML tutorial for beginners.

 Technology Gateway Documents
Jin Chang and Drew Enomoto developed a set of printed documents that provide a basic introduction to the computer and the Internet, including information on where to find low-cost access to the Internet in Honolulu. The documents are available for downloading as PDF files.
