Brain and Behavior Lab

At the Brain and Behavior Laboratory, we investigate the mind using psychophysics and brain-imaging tools. We have a 68-channel Synamps2 electroencephalograph from Neuroscan and test input to the brain from all senses. We use commercial software such as Matlab, Scan and EMSE; and open-source software such as EEGLab, Psychophysics Toolbox, Open Sesame and Igor for analyses. We also have access to other brain imaging tools such as fMRI, TMS and fNIR. Scroll down for more info...

About

About

Our laboratory is based at the University of Hawaii in Manoa, but we collaborate with partners across the world. We have collaborated with a diverse but select group of universities, hospitals and industry partners.

Research

The Brain and Behavior Laboratory investigates a series of topics related to brain imaging and behavioral experimentation. These include multi-sensory attention, sensory processing, attentional mechanisms and brain-machine interfacing.

Training

Training

We provide courses on brain imaging, programming for psychologists and research methodology. We also train a limited amount of graduate students on our multi-channel EEG system. Please check in for more info on classes and training!
