Welcome to my website. As of November 2016 I am a NOAA Climate & Global Change postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington Atmospheric Sciences department, working with Cecilia Bitz. Additionally, I hold positions as affiliate researcher at the Department of Atmospheric Sciences in the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology (SOEST) at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, and as a NOAA affiliate at the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL) in Princeton. Before moving to Seattle, I was working as a postdoctoral researcher and graduate research assistant with Fei-Fei Jin at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa.

I try to understand the fundamental dynamics of climate variability on various timescales and how this knowledge might help us to improve predictions, especially in the tropics and the Monsoon regions. Furthermore, I am interested in the dynamics of greenhouse warming patterns and linkages between the tropics and the cryosphere. More recently I also started investigating linkages between climate variability and the marine carbon cycle as well as climate impacts on society and food security. More information about my research, publications, CV, and a number of useful links can be found on this website.
