What is paging?
Paging is submitting a request for the Library to retrieve materials for you.
How do I page materials?
Paging is done through Hawaii Voyager, our online catalog. Click here for instructions.
What materials MUST be paged?
Materials from the following UHM Library collections MUST be paged through Voyager for access:
Paged by Special Collections in Hamilton Library (5th Floor):
- Hamilton Hawaiian Collection
- Hamilton Pacific Collection
- Hamilton Special Rare, Book Arts, Gorey, Juvenile, or Creole
- Hamilton Special Charlot (book items)
Paged by Sinclair Library:
- Sinclair Gov Docs
- Sinclair AV Center
What materials MAY be paged?
Any other circulating materials from Hamilton or Sinclair MAY be paged by UHM faculty and UHM faculty affiliates. Materials will be retrieved and held for pickup at Hamilton or Sinclair circulation desks. For a list of locations and types of materials that can be paged, click here.
How do I get access to materials not listed above?
Materials stored in open stacks are available for you to retrieve and browse through on your own. For materials in other locations, click here for details.
Do I need a UH ID card to page materials?
You do need a UH ID card to page materials located at Sinclair AV Center.
For everything else that requires paging, you do NOT need a UH ID card.
