NOTE: This method can be used with other library catalogs that allow saving records in MARC format

1. Set up path for import file: C:\voyager\import

2. Set Voyager Cataloging options, preferences, general:
Delete records from import file once saved to database (yes)

3. Go to Library of Congress catalog: http://catalog.loc.gov/

Access record
Select 'MARC format type' [click radio button]
Click 'print or save display' button
Click 'file', click 'save as'
Change path to C:\voyager\import
Accept default filename [Pwebrecon.cgi]
Click 'save'
Close browser

4. Go to Voyager cataloging module

Click 'Record', click 'Import'
Click 'from new file'
Highlight filename [example: Pwebrecon.cgi]
Click 'open'
Highlight title to be imported
Click 'OK'
Do editing and save to database

NOTE: If import file cannot be opened in Voyager, change the extension to .dat and try again.
