This page and the WebCT sites allow biology students at Kapi'olani Community College to inspect course syllabi and schedules, obtain grades privately, access lecture slides, notes and recorded lectures, take quizzes, view videos, read current events and recent papers online, participate in online discussions, check assignments, contact fellow students, and participate in other activities. 

These classes are learner-centered. You are encouraged to make suggestions about the subjects covered in your course, so that the class better matches your needs and interests. You will be expected to work together in groups, both in class and online, to help each other learn.  You will be able to take quizzes online to assess your progress. Areas of weakness may be discovered by means of the quizzes so that you can be directed to resources that will help you improve your knowledge and skills. You will be encouraged to improve your communication skills, at first by means of email and bulletin board discussion, and later by means of web page creation.
