Adobe Photoshop– Introduction

Learn the significant tools and features of Photoshop for creating and modifying digital images. Explore image possibilities with photo repair and color correction tools. Improve your composite images by working in layers. Work with text, layer styles and filters for image effects. Students will begin with sample material to develop a composite project. Windows and Mac users invited because Photoshop runs the same on both platforms. Skills Required: Basic Windows or Mac skills.

Adobe Photoshop– Intermediate

Go beyond the basics. Develop a professional workflow for archiving images using levels and hue saturation adjustment layers. Expand your creative options by applying layer masks and adjustment layers masks for compositing and color correction. Learn optimum techniques for repurposing images for print and web. Explore natural media effects using brushes, filters, layer styles and type effects. Windows and Mac users invited because Photoshop runs the same on both platforms. Skills Required: Introduction to Photoshop or trainer permission.

Draw with Adobe Illustrator

Learn the fundamentals of digital drawing for logos, illustrations, posters, and web graphics. Use the pen tool to draw over bitmap scans for quality output. Create vector graphics using paths, shapes, typography and effects. Students will begin with sample material to develop a logo or drawing project. Windows and Mac users invited because Illustrator runs the same on both platforms. Skills Required: Basic Windows or Mac skills.

Dreamweaver - Introduction

Create a website using Dreamweaver. Define a root folder for complete file update and management. Explore the interface of key toolbars, windows and panels. Format text and images with CSS styles. Create links, tables, and streamlined navigation. Publish your site on the web. Windows and Mac users invited because Dreamweaver runs the same on both platforms. Skills Required: Basic Windows or Mac skills.
Dreamweaver – Intermediate

Move beyond the basic web page format by designing layouts with Cascading Style Sheets in Dreamweaver. Increase your design flow with templates, libraries, favorites and forms. Create navigation bars with multiple rollover states. Develop fly-out menus with the Spry Tool. Explore Dreamweaver’s site optimization for search engines. Let Dreamweaver’s features increase your site’s usability. Skills Required: Dreamweaver-Introduction or trainer’s permission.

Adobe Photoshop Elements: Essentials

Enjoy enhancing and fixing digital images quickly and efficiently. Photoshop Elements is a powerful, yet easy to use image editing program. This course provides step-by-step instruction on: digital imaging basics, quick fixes, correct exposures, adjust colors and photo repair. Each class will work on sample case projects of common problems. Photoshop Elements: Essentials is a helpful easy way to create desirable digital images.

Skills Required: Basic computer and software skills: finding and saving files in folders, switching between applications, opening files within an application and knowledge of basic key locations and functions.
