THE SILK ROAD

The journey within
has gone far,
but not far enough
into my Silky Road,
to uncover
my native greed,
lust, and
a vast loneliness,
as high as the Great Wall,
as desolate as the Gobi Desert,
as infinite as the 9999 rooms
hidden in the Forbidden City,
as mysterious as the emperors' tombs.
Into those dark
caves and alleys,
I search for the gem
that could
give light
to my sight
to see my inner city
of tranquility,
union, and joy,
lightening
the burdens of journey.
