center is staffed by licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, post-doctoral
level counselors, and testing
specialists, as well as pre-doctoral intern and practicum counselors.
Furthermore, the center's administration is managed by a receptionist and
student assistants.

Professional Interests: Individual, group, and couple/family
counseling and psychotherapy. Career and life planning. Integration of
whole person health and wellness models, with a variety of change
approaches, including current psychotherapies, traditional healing and
helping traditions (e.g., story teller, shaman, midwife, etc.), hypnosis,
family systems/strategic interventions, and therapeutic
wilderness experience. Other practical and research interests include
training and supervision, group change approaches across cultures,
multicultural issues in group therapy, values issues in psychology,
integration of personal and professional ethics, sustainable future,
ecopsychology, and the psychology of the wilderness.
Personal Statement: "We are extraordinary beings living in an
extraordinary world. We can all be really good to each other as we
celebrate being alive in our own ways. Besides working with
students at UH, I love music (Martin Pahinui, Haunani Apoliona, Stephen Inglis, Judy Mowatt, Jerry Garcia, etc.), backpacking the wild places of
