Congratulation!  I would like to welcome you to one of the most dynamic
profession and to the LIS Alumni Group.

All LIS graduate are members of the LIS Alumni Group.  Unlike other alumni
association, there is no membership dues.  In addition to belonging to the
big family of highly trained UH LIS graduates, you will periodically hear
from us through our listserv lisalumni-l.  Note that only subscribers can
post to our listserv.  All new graduates will be added to the listserv
subscriber list.  If you change your email address or if there is a
different email address you would like to use for this listserv, please
send email to Joseph Yue (jyue@hawaii.edu).

The LIS Alumni Group newsletter comes out twice a year.  In it you will
find out all the latest news about fellow alumni, new developments in LIS
programs plus more.  Several annual awards are available to alumni and
will be announced in the newsletter.  We encourage you all to apply.

If you are looking for experience in participating in a professional
organization, why not take the first step by volunteering to be a member
of the LIS Alumni Board?  Please do not hesitate to contact me at
zoe@hawaii.edu.  Several positions are currently open and we would welcome
the participation of energetic new graduates.

Please remember to let us know if you move to a challenging position,
particularly if there is a change in mailing as well as email address.
