I grew up in a small town in the Pacific Northwest where I learned to love the water (and the rain). After finishing an undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of Washington I moved to Hawai`i to explore the islands and work for a local cultural resource management firm (IARII). I have since worked on and directed archaeological projects (both CRM and university based) in India, Fiji, Samoa, Belau, and the Hawaiian Islands.

I am currently finishing my Ph.D. in Archaeology at the University of Hawai`i. When I am not working on my research or teaching, I spend my time brewing beer and tinkering with motorcycles.
