Håfa Adai and welcome to the official homepage for the Håle' Chamorro Club at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa (formerly known as the Marianas Club). This page was designed by students from Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Unfortunately, as a people, we are separated by a political boundary between the islands of Guåhan (Guam) and Luta (Rota), often prompting people from the Marianas to identify themselves as Guamanians, Saipanese, Rotanese, etc. We students, however, recognize that all people in the Mariana Islands share a common language, culture and bloodline. Therefore, we now identify ourselves simply as Chamorros, hence the new name of our club. We hope that our two communities, represented by two flags under the United States yet existing under one latte stone, will one day become a single entity. Biba Chamorro!
