From The Open Line, June 1998
There is a quiet changing of the guard now underway, a gradual replacement of those who have served long and hard on the front lines by those still fresh, still eager to lend a hand to the great work on Earth. Most of the people with whom I have a strong affinity those for whom information on Wanderers and cosmic evolution resonate strongly, often feel they are "soon going home." I regularly hear people say this is my last life time and see in them a deep fatigue, reminiscent of war-weary troops longing for R and R. These are the long-contract folks, those who have been cycling in human incarnation for millennia, some of them since Atlantean times, and they are quite ready to go home. Fortunately, I do believe that soon they will go home.
But nature abhors a vacuum, and no planet is left without assistance-especially Earth at its present point of development. If we believe that a New Age, a new world, a new cycle of consciousness is dawning, then we can appreciate this urgent need for support. As a newborn doe is frail, thin, and weak in the knees, so too is humanity timid in its new body: a global culture based on honesty, trust and kindness towards all. With an ancient history of distrust and strife among all sorts of groups (social, ethnic, religious, political, etc.), humanity is not quite comfortable in its own skin.
Sociologically, it seems to be a case of collective self-rejection and collective fear of mutual trust. World history reveals our tendency to magnify and exaggerate differences and hi-tech society encourages anonymity. And what's left of community with 500 TV channels from which to choose?
But aren't we at the threshold of a new eon? From such roots of separatism, how can we ever reap the fruit of social unity? Clearly, a society laced with distrust and vague self-serving is in for some readjustment. The Wanderers who know their identity and purpose also know they've done their part, but they're really on their way out. Who will take their place? Who will help humanity make a transition to enlightened society, spiritual vision and universal principles? Well, perhaps your 10-year-old daughter and your 13-year-old son...
I've heard tales from many women who are Wanderers and mothers of exceptional children. Many claim to have felt a Divine Presence and overshadowing during pregnancy; and many felt blessed and protected. Tales of precocious 5-year-olds talking about past lives, friends and family in outer space, and their nightly visits to distant worlds are quite common. I've heard of near-toddlers giving spiritual guidance to their humbled parents and then scolding them for mistakes. These are definitely not ordinary kids.
These children are not just starry-eyed dreamers. They are grounded, mature and effective in the world and I mean this world! The early-teen son of a New York writer I know has his own TV show (called the Anti-Gravity Room, on Sci-Fi Network); another friend in Arizona has a son, age 13, who arranged personal meetings with school officials to discuss their concerns about his work. International UN children's conferences regularly feature 1 12-year-olds giving major presentations to the assembly. I've seen many a little angel fascinated by my talking about kind ETs and grand cosmic design. Believe it or not (and I've met many who do), these are the souls who will establish the kingdom of heaven on Earth.
Mothers of these kids are often seen glowing with pride, seemingly aware something exceptional is going on. They may feel a sense of sacred duty in taking care of such young ones, as if guarding them for special work to come. In fact many of these women also expect social upheaval in the offing, and may have already considered where to take their children. They sense being part of a larger scheme and I think they really are. If these ideas resonate, we should realize these souls are quite conscious and aware. They're more than capable of handling the nom al demands of growing up and have tremendous spiritual resources at their disposal. Simply put, they know what they're doing and they know why they're here, and they are ready for any and all Earth changes. When I was younger, my grandmother used to call me "a little old man cut short," which points to the same kind of maturity under pressure these children can muster. Nevertheless, they're also young and sensitive, and like all Wanderers, they often struggle to accommodate their peers to gain acceptance among them.
Of course, they need our support as much as all children. Their hopes, dreams and cosmic curiosity needs to be given fertile soil to take root and their frustrations and disappointments need comfort and care. Some of them are deeply concerned with planet Earth, the biosphere, the animals and global peace. They too are here to serve, but their service comes fresh from an awareness of social justice and harmony, since the worlds from which they've come reflect humanity's next step. Thus their service is natural and unforced: by their very presence they embody the kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Their role in future society will clarify with each passing year of their lives.
I don't think we need worry about their involvement in some of the more wild ways of their peers-so long as there is love, guidance, open dialogue and a vision of purity at home, they'll usually return to true values. Being so sensitive and group-aware, they naturally reach out to peer influences, often at the cost of self-forgetting and confusion. They're simply trying to fund their place. Trial and error, though painful and time-consuming, is certainly an effective way to loam. I certainly hope they don't get as "spun around" as some of the old Wanderers who have been here for millennia. But luckily they probably won't log on enough time m present society to really go against themselves.
As we can envision extraterrestrial souls on Earth as the vanguard of increased human-cosmic rapport, we can see these children as the leading edge of the Wanderers. As incarnated ET souls form a bridge to increased galactic harmony and interchange, so too do these young ones connect us to the new world. Their loyalty and devotion to friends will one day become the glue holding together all members of society and will eliminate the divisive influences of war, competition and distrust so prevalent today. Thus they bring great hope and promise to Earth and do need to be protected and nurtured. We cam encourage their growth of self-expression through dialogue and the honing of their latent d discernment through respectfully sharing our values. As they may shine a beacon to remind us of purity, innocence and simplicity, we can do much through paternal and maternal care, support and encouragement. Truly, all the world will be theirs to shape, with our inspiration.
